Ceremonial Journey of Baja California

Spiritual journeys have long been an ancient tradition of the native pueblos of this continent. The journeys are an essential part of life because they strengthen the solidarity among Indigenous Peoples as well as their traditions and culture. Just as well it creates an awareness of the need to reestablish a respectful connection with Mother Earth.

Route

The run will go from left to right making a great circle, starting in Tijuana and passing through various communities located along the cities of Tijuana, Tecate and Mexicali. The runners will cross the desert through a sacred trail leading to Ensenada and ending in the city of Tijuana, running over aproximately a distance of 1000 km.
